This is a creative movement class for 2-3 year olds. Our youngest dancers will explore creative movement, tap and jazz using props, such as scarves, ribbons, hoops, balls, wands, etc.) Dancers will participate in the annual Winter Show and the Summer Recital.
This is a tap/jazz combo class for 3-4 year olds. The combo classes will introduce young dancers to dance in a fun, age appropriate environment. Dancers will use a variety of props (scarves, ribbons, hoops, balls, etc.) to explore dance and creative movement. Dancers will participate in our annual Winter Show and the Summer Recital.
This is a tap/jazz combo class for dancers 5 years and older. Dancers will begin to learn specific dance skills, combinations and choreography. Level 1 classes are for dancers with little or no previous dance experience. Level 2 classes are for dancers with at least 1 year of previous dance experience. Dancers in both Level 1 and 2 classes will participate in our annual Winter Show and the Summer Recital.
An upbeat class filled with some of the latest dance moves. CT Hip Hop is for Competition Level dancers only. Dancers in all levels of Hip Hop will participate in our annual Winter Show and the Summer Recital.
A fun recreational class for dancers ages 8+ to explore dance through precision, execution and the use of poms. No previous dance instruction is necessary. Dancers will participate in our annual Winter Show and the Summer Recital.
This class combines ballet and contemporary jazz technique for a more flowing form of dance. Dancers should have at least 1 year of ballet or jazz before taking lyrical. Lyrical is for ages 9+. Dancers will perform in the Winter Show and the Summer Recital.
Ballet is the foundation for all other forms of dance. All levels of ballet will develop basic ballet technique through barre work, center floor, across the floor and classic choreography. Dancers must acquire basic skills for each level before moving on to the next level. Dancers should consult with their ballet teacher prior to registering to determine the appropriate level. Dancers in all levels of ballet will participate in our annual Winter Show and the Summer Recital.
This is a strengthening class for dancers wishing to prepare to go on Pointe. Dancers must be at least 10 years of age and have 5 or more years of ballet training. Dancers will NOT participate in the Winter Show or the Summer Recital.
Dancers will continue ballet training en pointe. Basic pointe technique through barre work, center floor, across the floor and classic choreography will be developed. Dancers must be at least 12 years of age, have a minimum of 5 years ballet experience, including 2 years of prepointe training. They must also have the permission of one of the ballet instructors. Pointe 1 is for those dancers in their first year of pointe instruction. Pointe 2 is for dancers with at least 1 year of pointe instruction. Dancers in both classes will participate in our annual Winter Show and Summer Recital.
Lyrical, Technique, Privates and "Starz" classes are all Competition Level classes. The Competition Team is by invitation only and is based on recommendations by teachers and the Artistic Director.
